Home batteries are currently not shipped outside the Netherlands and Belgium. Collection in person from Alblasserdam (the Netherlands) is possible. To EU countries outside the Netherlands and Belgium we only ship what can go by parcel post: genuine spare parts and small items (thermostats, taps, filters, sensors, pumps, circuit boards and the like), plus electric heating up to 32 kg. Complete appliances — boilers, heat pumps, water heaters, radiators, split air conditioners — and home batteries are currently not shipped there.
This page is information, not an offer. If you are planning a home battery, here are the rules that usually apply; purchase and installation go through a professional in your own country.
Background: the four points that matter
1. Registration
Grid operator and, in several countries, a national register. Plug-in batteries have simplified but country-specific rules.
2. Grid connection rules
Germany VDE-AR-N 4105, Belgium Synergrid C10/26, France NF C 15-100. Check the model’s declaration of conformity.
3. VAT
The VAT rate of the country of supply; some countries apply a lower rate to residential solar storage. Compare on the final price.
4. Take-back
Extended producer responsibility applies in every EU country; the retailer or an approved collection point takes old batteries back.
Frequently asked questions
Can I order a Marstek home battery for my country?
Home batteries are currently not shipped outside the Netherlands and Belgium. Collection in person from our warehouse in Alblasserdam (the Netherlands) is possible; please contact us before you come. Spare parts are shipped across the EU.
Do I need to register a home battery?
In most EU countries a stationary battery connected to a solar installation must be registered with the grid operator, and several countries keep a national register (Germany: Marktstammdatenregister; Belgium: Fluvius/ORES; France: Enedis). Plug-in batteries fall under simplified rules that differ per country. Check with your grid operator and a local electrician.
Which VAT applies to a home battery?

Who takes a battery back at end of life?
Batteries and electrical equipment fall under extended producer responsibility in every EU country: the retailer or an approved collection point takes the old unit back.
