Frequently asked questions about this item

Which room is the Olimpia Splendid Quarzia Slim R suitable for?

The Quarzia Slim R is an 800 W infrared heater for heating rooms. Rule of thumb: with normal insulation, allow 30 to 40 W per m³, so around 23 m³ as main heating or more as supplementary heating.

What does it cost to run an 800 W infrared heater?

At full power the Quarzia Slim R uses 0.8 kWh per hour. The cost per hour is this figure multiplied by your electricity price per kWh. Because the thermostat switches the unit off automatically once the set temperature is reached, actual consumption is lower.

Can an infrared heater be left switched on unattended?

The Quarzia Slim R has a safety thermostat against overheating and tip-over protection. Keep at least 50 cm of clearance all around and never cover the unit. For use in a bathroom, choose a model with protection rating IP21 or IP22.

What is the difference compared with the other Olimpia Splendid models?

An infrared heater gives off radiant heat that you feel immediately, without first having to warm the air. Compare all models on our Electric heating page, sorted by type and output.
