MVHR or extract ventilation?

Mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (MVHR) uses a balanced system: fresh air comes in, stale air goes out, and 80-95 % of the heat is reused. Ideal for new builds and highly insulated homes. A mechanical extract ventilation system is simpler — extraction only in the bathroom/kitchen/WC — and suits renovations and rented homes. Not sure? Contact us — we will advise you free of charge.

Installation

MVHR units require ducting throughout the house (150 mm flexible ducts) — 1-2 days of installation work. Extract units can often be swapped in 2 hours. Have it installed by a qualified installer.
