Part of the guide Troubleshooting a boiler fault
Short answer: if you have the number of the old part, type it into the search field of the spare parts catalogue; wij zoeken op fabrikantnummer, artikelnummer en EAN tegelijk.
Route 1: the number of the old part
Almost every part has a number on it: on a sticker, moulded into the plastic or stamped into the metal. That is usually the manufacturer number, the code under which Intergas, Remeha or Bosch supplies the part. Bosch numbers are ten digits and start with 87 or 77 (8718600000), Intergas numbers six digits (874830), Remeha numbers often start with S (S100123) or are seven digits, Vaillant uses six digits sometimes with a letter (0020xxxxxx for new numbers). There is also the article number of the wholesaler, seven digits in our catalogue (8012292), and the EAN, the thirteen-digit barcode. All three work in our search field; you do not need to know which number you have.
| Number | Example | Where to find it | What you use it for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Manufacturer number | Remeha 8012292, Bosch 87186445940, Intergas 874830 | On the part, in the exploded view of the manual | The most reliable search number: exactly the right part |
| Article number (catalogue) | 8012292, 10740040 | On our product page and on the packing slip of a previous order | Reordering something you bought before |
| EAN | 8713809290337 | On the packaging | Scanning or comparing with other suppliers |
| Position number | "pos. 14" in the drawing | Only in the exploded view | Not unique; always convert to the manufacturer number |
If you find nothing with the number, type in part of it or leave out leading zeros; older Vaillant and Bosch parts have numbers with a dot or space that is not always typed in.
Route 2: brand, appliance, part type
Without a number, start with the rating plate: brand and exact type, see How to read the rating plate. In the catalogue, choose the brand, then the appliance (for example Intergas Kombi Kompakt HRE 28/24) and then the type: pumps, PCBs, sensors, condensate traps, expansion vessels, fans, gasket sets and so on. On the appliance page, only the parts that belong to that appliance according to the manufacturer's data are shown per type, with stock status and price. Conversely, each product page lists under "Suitable for" the appliances the part fits; if your type is not listed, do not order without asking us.
Don't know what the part is called? Start from the symptom. Our guides link symptom to part: no hot water (three-way valve, plate heat exchanger, flow sensor), pressure dropping (expansion vessel, pressure relief valve), no flame (ionisation probe, ignition), radiators cold (pump). If there is a code on the display, look in the fault codes: each code page names the part that usually goes with it.
Route 3: send a photo
Send a photo of the rating plate and of the part, front and connection side, plus a close-up of every number, via WhatsApp or email. Mention the symptom or the code. We look up the part, check compatibility with your type and year of manufacture, and send you the link with price, delivery time and whether it is a stock or made-to-order item. Usually within one working day. This route is the safest for PCBs, gas valves and parts that come in several versions.
Successors: when the number has been replaced
Manufacturers replace numbers when a part gets a new version. The old number then gives no result, or a result with "replaced by" or "old no." in the title; in our catalogue the successor is then listed under the new number with the old number in the description. A successor fits the same appliance, sometimes with an adapter cable or a different plug that is supplied with it. Be careful with successors of PCBs: they sometimes require a software setting by the installer. If in doubt: send a photo.
Stock item or made-to-order item
Every product page and the shopping basket show whether a part is a stock item (shipped from our warehouse in the Netherlands, usually delivered within 3–5 working days) or a made-to-order item (speciaal voor jou bij de fabrikant of groothandel besteld, met de levertijd erbij).
Original, successor or alternative
The parts in our catalogue come via the official wholesale channel and carry the manufacturer number; the product page states their origin. For gas valves, burners, ignition and ionisation parts, PCBs and flue parts, we only recommend the part specified by the manufacturer. For universal parts such as an air vent or a condensate trap, equivalent alternatives exist; more on this in Original or alternative part.
Frequently asked questions
I have bought this part from you before. How do I reorder it?
Log in to your account and open the previous order, or search by the article number on the packing slip. If the number has since been replaced, the search will show the successor.
The part in the exploded view only has a position number.
Below the drawing there is a list that converts each position number into the manufacturer number. If that is missing, send the drawing with the position number and the rating plate; we will look up the number.
Does a Nefit part also fit a Bosch or Buderus?
Often it does: Nefit, Bosch, Buderus and Junkers belong to one group and share many parts, with the same manufacturer number. Still check via "Suitable for"; not every version is interchangeable.
How quickly will I know whether a part fits if I send a photo?
On working days usually within a few hours, at the latest the next working day. Include your phone number if you would rather be called back.
