Geberit concealed cistern parts: which cistern you have (UP320, UP720, UP100, Omega, UP200) and which parts fit

Short answer: which part you need depends on the type of concealed cistern. Geberit uses four families, which you can recognise by the actuator plate and the installation depth: Sigma 12 cm (UP320, previously UP300), Sigma 8 cm (UP720), Delta 12 cm (UP100) en Omega 12 cm; in addition the older Kappa 15 cm (UP200/UP120 Artline), the cisterns from before 2000 (10.400, 110.620/NUVO, Twinline) and the exposed cisterns AP123, AP140 and AP127. Below, for each type, are the parts we supply, with the Geberit article number, the current price and whether it is in stock.

How to identify which Geberit cistern you have

Remove the actuator plate (it clicks or slides off; with Sigma plates it sits in a mounting frame). Behind it you will see the protective plate and the cistern. The type (for example UP320) and often the year of manufacture are on the cistern or on a sticker on the inside. Also look at the name on your actuator plate: it belongs to one cistern family.

Not sure? Compare the number on the part you remove with the Geberit article number in the tables below (format 240.000.00.1). We do not check whether a part fits your cistern; the link between part and cistern comes from Geberit's parts lists in our catalogue. If in doubt, ask Geberit or your installer.

Sigma 12 cm (UP320 and UP300): fill valve, flush valve and seals

One of the most widely installed Geberit cisterns. The fill valve (Geberit calls it a float valve or Impuls) is type 380 or 383; the flush valve is type 212, in the newer cisterns with a 6/3-litre flush. If the cistern keeps running, first check toilet keeps running: fill valve, flush valve or seal?

Sigma 8 cm (UP720): parts for the slim cistern

The 8 cm deep Sigma cistern is found in space-saving frames. The actuator plates are the same Sigma plates, but the protective plate, the bridge piece, the hoses, the angle stop valve and the lifting mechanism are specific to the 8 cm model.

Delta 12 cm (UP100): parts for Duofix Basic

The UP100 cistern has Delta actuator plates and uses the same type 383 fill valve and type 212 flush valve as the Sigma 12 cm, with its own angle stop valve, bridge piece and mounting frame.

Omega 12 cm (from 2014)

The Omega cistern has a lower frame (front or top operation) with Omega actuator plates. The parts we supply for it:

Kappa 15 cm (UP200) and UP120 Artline

The 15 cm deep cisterns from before 2014. Recognisable by the Kappa, Artline or Twinline actuator plate.

Older concealed cisterns: 10.400, 110.620/NUVO, Twinline

For cisterns from the 1970s, 80s and 90s, Geberit still supplies bottom valves, holders, seals and conversion kits. A conversion kit replaces the old internals with the current Twinline mechanism.

Exposed cisterns AP123, AP140, AP127, AP116 and AP120

With an exposed cistern, the cistern sits visibly on the pan. The type is on the sticker under the lid. The push button on the lid (single flush AP123, dual flush AP140) belongs with its own bottom valve and bottom valve holder.

Which parts do we not supply?

We do not sell complete installation frames (Duofix, Kombifix, GIS), but we do sell the individual parts inside them. Flush valve type 240 and type 290 are not currently in our range: search for the type number on the valve; if it is not in our catalogue, we do not (yet) have it. All Geberit parts by appliance can be found at Geberit parts by type, with the toilet and cistern parts grouped at Geberit toilet and cistern parts.

Frequently asked questions

Which fill valve fits a Geberit UP320?

According to the parts list of the UP320 cistern with Sigma 12 cm, it is a type 383 fill valve: Impuls 383 (Geberit 240.714.00.5), the version with side connection and S-bend (240.705.00.5) or the one with braided hose and fixing clip (243.408.00.5). Check the type number on the valve you remove.

Which fill valve fits a Geberit UP720?

Is the flush valve of a UP320 the same as that of a UP100?

Both cisterns use a type 212 flush valve; the complete valve 244.820.00.1 appears in the parts lists of both the UP320 (Sigma 12 cm) and the UP100 (Delta 12 cm). To be sure, compare the number on your old valve.

How do I know whether I have a Sigma, Delta or Omega?

By the actuator plate: Sigma plates (Sigma01 to Sigma80) belong to the 12 and 8 cm Sigma cisterns, Delta plates to the UP100, Omega plates to the Omega cistern and Kappa plates to the UP200. The type is also on the sticker in the cistern behind the actuator plate.
