Short answer: if water keeps running into the pan after flushing, with a Geberit concealed cistern it is almost always one of two parts. If the cistern can be heard refilling and the water runs away via the overflow, the fill valve (float valve, type 380/383) is no longer closing. If you hear the cistern briefly topping up now and then, or see a thin trickle down the back of the pan, then the flush valve seal (type 212) or the base valve is leaking. Both are separate parts that you replace through the opening behind the flush plate, without breaking open the wall.
First look: what exactly is the cistern doing?
Remove the flush plate and look into the cistern. Note the type shown on the cistern or the sticker (UP320, UP720, UP100, Omega, UP200) and the number on the part you suspect. Which type you have and which parts go with it is explained in Geberit concealed cistern parts by type.

A simple test for the flush valve: add a few drops of food colouring (or a splash of coffee) to the cistern and wait a quarter of an hour without flushing. If the water in the pan changes colour, the flush valve seal is leaking. If the pan stays clear but you can still hear the cistern filling, it is the fill valve.
Replacing the fill valve (type 380 and 383)
The fill valve is on the side of the water connection. First close the angle stop valve (behind the actuator plate), flush the cistern empty, disconnect the hose and click the valve out of its holder. The new valve goes in the same way. Replacing the flush valve or seal (type 212)
The flush valve is the large plastic part in the middle of the cistern; you take it out through the opening behind the actuator plate (exactly how is described in the Geberit manual for your cistern). At the bottom is the rubber seal that closes on the outlet valve holder; you replace that separately. If the valve itself is worn (limescale, small cracks, sticking mechanism), get the complete valve or the renovation kit, which also includes a new fill valve.

Button sticks or does not flush: push rods, spring and mounting frame
With a Sigma actuator plate, two push rods press on the flush valve via the mounting frame. If the rods or the spring are worn, the button does not spring back or does not flush properly. According to the parts list, these parts fit the plates listed; check the name of your actuator plate.

When should you call a plumber?
You can replace the fill and flush valves, seals and push rods yourself through the opening behind the actuator plate. If the cistern itself leaks, the water connection behind the wall is leaking, or you cannot get the cistern to seal again after a replacement, that is a job for a plumber. We do not check whether a part fits your cistern: compare the Geberit number on your old part with the number on the product page, or ask Geberit or your installer.

Why does the small flush no longer work?
With a dual-flush plate, the flush-stop clip on the flush valve may be missing or worn, or the valve may be set incorrectly. The clip-on for type 212 is available separately.
