Olimpia Splendid Caleo Glass WiFi: 2000 W designer glass convector heater with app

The Caleo Glass WiFi is a 2000 W electric convector heater behind a black toughened glass front, with a touchscreen and built-in Wi-Fi. It silently heats a living room, bedroom or study of up to 60 m³ and can be controlled from the glass panel, the supplied remote control or the OS Home app on your smartphone. Mount it on the wall with the supplied brackets or stand it on the included feet: both are in the box.

Ideal for a room without a radiator, a loft conversion, a home office, a holiday home or as quiet main heating for a single room. We deliver this heater free of charge to every country we ship to.95 to other EU countries; usually 3–5 working days. Free delivery from €199.

Why the Caleo Glass WiFi?

  • Silent convection heat: no fan, no draught, no dust stirred up. Suitable for the bedroom and for running for hours on end.
  • 2000 W in two settings (1000 and 2000 W) plus ECO function: according to Olimpia Splendid, the adjustable output allows energy savings of up to 50%.
  • Room thermostat 15 to 50 °C: the convector switches off as soon as the room reaches the desired temperature and maintains it.
  • Wall or floor: wall brackets and feet are supplied, so you decide yourself, even later on.
  • Wi-Fi and OS Home app: weekly schedule, remote temperature adjustment and pre-heating while you are out.
  • Touchscreen in the glass with an easy-to-read temperature display, plus a remote control for operation from the sofa.
  • Triple safety: safety thermostat, room thermostat and overheat protection.
  • Toughened glass: no grilles to trap dust, clean with a single wipe.

Convector heater or fan heater?

A convector heats the air by natural circulation: warm air rises and cold air flows in at the bottom. This takes 10 to 15 minutes longer than with a fan heater, but it is silent, the heat is even and the appliance can run all night. If you want a bathroom warm in 10 minutes, choose the Caldo Sky WiFi wall-mounted ceramic fan heater with IP22. The Caleo Glass is not a bathroom heater: do not install it in zone 1 or 2 of the bathroom.

Is 2000 W right for your room?

Allow 30 to 40 W per m³ with normal insulation. A room of 4 × 5 metres with a 2.6 metre ceiling height has 52 m³ and needs 1,600 to 2,100 W as main heating; as supplementary heating alongside central heating, half is enough. For a larger living room or a poorly insulated loft, install two convectors, each on a different side of the room.

Installation and connection

  1. Wall: screw the two brackets horizontally under a window or on an external wall, where the cold air comes in. Leave space below and above the convector for air circulation.
  2. Floor: click the feet onto the underside of the convector and place it at least 50 cm away from curtains and furniture.
  3. Plug it into an earthed socket (230 V, 16 A). A dedicated circuit is not required, but do not connect a second high-power appliance to the same circuit at the same time.
  4. Download the OS Home app, connect the convector to your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and set the weekly schedule.

What does it cost to run?

At full power, the Caleo Glass uses 2 kWh per hour; the cost depends on your electricity price per kWh. Once the room has reached the desired temperature, the thermostat cuts back and actual consumption is 40 to 60% lower. Turning the central heating down by one degree and heating only the study with the Caleo often saves money on the energy bill overall, especially with your own solar power.

Frequently asked questions about this item

Which room is the Olimpia Splendid Caleo Glass WiFi suitable for?
The Caleo Glass WiFi is a 2000 W electric convector heater that heats rooms up to 60 m³, for example a 4 × 5 metre living room, bedroom or study. Rule of thumb: allow 30 to 40 W per m³ with normal insulation; as supplementary heating, half is enough.
Can the Caleo Glass WiFi stand on the floor?
Yes. The box contains both wall brackets and feet, so you choose between wall mounting and free-standing use yourself and can switch later.
Is the Caleo Glass WiFi suitable for the bathroom?
No, do not install it in zone 1 or 2 of the bathroom. For the bathroom, the Caldo Sky WiFi wall-mounted ceramic fan heater with IP22 is the right choice: it is warm in 10 minutes and uses the same OS Home app.
Does the Caleo Glass WiFi work with Google Assistant or Alexa?
The convector connects to your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi via the free OS Home app (iOS and Android). With this app you set the weekly schedule and temperature and switch the appliance on remotely; the app can be linked to common voice assistants. Without Wi-Fi it works perfectly normally via the touchscreen and remote control.
What does it cost to heat with a 2000 W electric convector heater?
At full power, the Caleo Glass WiFi uses 2 kWh per hour; the cost depends on your electricity price per kWh. Once the room has reached the desired temperature, the thermostat cuts back, so actual consumption is 40 to 60% lower; with the ECO setting you save up to 50% according to Olimpia Splendid.
